Pallet storage calculator
Enter one client's rate card and a month of pallets in and out. You get the invoice lines, pallet-days and subtotal that Tallybay's billing engine would produce, down to the cent.
It opens on the worked example from the home page. Your numbers stay on this page, and nothing is saved.

How the storage at $0.50 was counted
- 5 received Jul 31: 25 pallet-days, Aug 1 to Aug 5
- 10 received Aug 2: 100 pallet-days, Aug 2 to Aug 11
How it counts
- The day a pallet arrives counts; the day it leaves does not. In and out on one day is one day.
- When pallets leave, the oldest go first.
- Free days apply to each receipt, not to pallets already on hand on the 1st.
- A monthly rate prorated by day is divided by the days in that month. Charged in full, every pallet on hand or received during the month pays a whole month.
- A minimum tops up storage only; handling and services are charged on top.
- Amounts are calculated exactly and rounded once per line, to the cent.
Each rule is explained with examples in the guide to billing pallet storage.
What it does not do
- Half-month billing (the IWLA default for goods received after the 15th) and anniversary months. Tallybay does not bill these yet.
- Storage by weight or cubic foot.
- More than eight movements or one service in a month. Tallybay itself has no such limit.
- A rate change partway through the month. Tallybay handles that with dated rate-card versions.
